My interest in transportation progressed by starting to work at an early age with the love of cars from my childhood. I believe that deficiencies or problems in a job done with pleasure are easily overcome. Therefore, despite the fact that there are many side branches in the logistics business and continuous change-development is expected, we have comfortably reached our current professionalism with our company. However, I can honestly say that although I have spent years in logistics, I cannot call myself, or even anyone, a fully knowledgeable logistician, because the logistics industry is a large sector in terms of its volume and value, where new lines are constantly determined. Therefore, I liken Özerkan to a game of checkers. As in this game, our main goal is to move the vehicle and service in our company to the next square as a team. Özerkan gave me a sense of responsibility and sensitivity and became a family where I became professional in every business category and where I was raised and trained by specialists. The business network and the countries we work in have expanded and the responsibilities on our team have increased. We owe our logistics success that we have achieved among all these increasing responsibilities to our solid communication network. If we examine the logistics in two periods, it would be healthier to separate it under the headings of before and after Covid. Especially after the pandemic, the non-stop progress of our workforce, so to speak, has changed all the trade markets, and besides the developing sectors, the falling sectors were too many to be underestimated. For example, in a period when cafes and restaurants were closed, it was possible to enter and exit between countries, even if the import and export vehicles were at half capacity. We went a step further with our vehicles and company quality, which passed hygienic inspections at those entrances and exits. After the period when Covid became a little more familiar with, and we can say that it was tried to be overcome with some vaccines, we entered a period in which inflation, fuel and expense prices negatively affected logistics companies. We are in the middle of a period where predictability is decreasing and uncertainty is increasing. With our professional business networks and planning in Özerkan Logistics, focusing on long-term profit share systems, it dominates the market in the sector and draws rules and boundaries. No logistics company that we are in contact with and that we know does not have such obligatory perfectionist systems and sensitive loading and transportation rates. We are not a company that only makes shipments with 100% risk ratios with vehicles of the latest models and technology. We are a company that documents everything, is systematic, reliable, ethical and gives importance to customer satisfaction. There is no doubt that we, as a sector, will overcome all these periods of general inflation and devaluation.
During the challenging pandemic period, almost all of our communications took place over phones, computers and tablets. We have embarked on a sharp path to cultural changes, although it has become easier to zoom in on distant connections and appeal to a larger audience. However, these changes continue uninterruptedly, without decreasing the quality of the connection between our trainings. In these trainings, apart from pedagogical learning, we are included in a system in which we progress through every stage and document definition in our company. Therefore, we prove the certainty of our continuity with a business cycle that we maintain by sharing the quality of feedback and documents we receive from our customers with each more equipped installation. With the audits and inspections that are carried out every year continuously and in line with the requests of our new companies, we prefer shipments that require continuity and precision, instead of our transparency and the periodic transportations of our particular audience. In other words, we do not transport any cargo that is not reported outside of our company’s capacity (ordinarily heavy tonnage) and that may harm our company quality and systems of our fleet, except when customers choose us. There is no success that our dedication cannot guarantee us. Every region we can advance in allows us to meet new people and markets. We are a company that does not hesitate to allow our customers, whom we admit and host in our company, to have on-site inspection. Apart from these quality control visits, customer visits of our team, which is in order to see and demonstrate the on-site functioning of our company, market and bilateral quality control, can be realized upon request. It is essential that we take the measures that can be taken and protect our values in this period when economic, social and cultural changes are felt at the extreme stages. Therefore, we need to isolate individual business ecosystems that need to be renamed or restructured. It is a vital fact that human resources can renew and develop themselves technologically. For example, human resources alone regulate the organization and relations within the company, but when combined with sustainability, it appears as green management and human resources. In this context, with the inclusive business model provided by our company, our green management practices gain momentum and our results reach perfection. We are researching and learning ways to reach the endpoint of our vehicles and engines in our operations, where we make progress by directing each other, especially with our R&D department. We provide the fruits of these guidance efforts with our balanced and ethical trade-friendly pricing practices provided in each of our shipments. System improvements developed and implemented in the company are collected in the company pool and their originality is approved by every single desk and progress is thus made. With the support of my team at these and similar points where human resources come into play, I wish for the continuity of our business life in the hope of taking greater steps to expand our sustainability and brand value.
